Our new long player recording “Pack of Lies” is ready, boxed up in a quaint CD format. We’ll be doing a few special events as well as festival shows this summer. This collection of twelve songs dating from 2017’s “Our Very Last dance,” through a recycled and repurposed “They’re Coming 2 get U,” to the very new “Ministry of Lies” reflect a depth of tone and playful purpose grown out of 2017’s more brash and punky “Ruling Class” album. This recording includes our one personnel change when Brian”s singing wailing guitar enters halfway through “Tins n Guns” as Mark’s solo fades and he moves onto to other endeavours. It has been a sweet time putting this together. Sharing food, pulling rabbits out of hats on bone cold winter days at perfect world studio, going home in the fading light with a new song coming into being. Now we endeavour to bring this to an audience, our good friends, festival muckers, chance encounters. All those open to this subversion. We have limited access and interest in the music Biz, therefore these songs come as a microdose, an antidote to banal official uniformity. Unlike the lockstep rhythm of “New Normal Totalitarian Official Alternative Culture”. These beats are more fluid, flawed and intimate, peppered with jokes and grooves. They are a personal take on our shared universal themes. Babylon is burning with anxiety, with industry, with greed, hate and delusion. But we are very close to Love too and that’s not for sale. But our CD’ and merch are!    See ya X JPTB

Track guide

1) Ministry of Lies  Truth is illegal. Orwell was way too right. "I'm tired of setting right in two minutes what the radio and papers have been setting wrong for years". William Stafford; It's got a deep warm groove, with reflective word painting from the piano. Watch out as the guitar and piano go BIG in the mid section. "It's all lies". (and marketing)

2) Uncomfortable in my Skin    Living behind a "forced grin", as the official narrative is wearing thin. Jerky, quirky and awkwardly funky.

3) Risk Assessment     The management extinguishes creativity and turns 'common sense' into 'nonsense'. Frantic fairground organs ska over a wonky four chord groove. A pile of words complain about the world of "bullshit jobs".

4) Working for the Man    The Parasite class needs our compliance and investment in their story. A ballad, the piano lyrically shapes the whole piece, the lap steel graces the atmosphere. A sombre dark tale..."Have you ever had the feeling you’ve been had?" Remember Jonny Rotten spitting that out at the Sex Pistols demise gig in Hollywood.

5) 2muchAg    Chicken feed, big agribiz, chicken shit, small rural  villages and dark satanic mills. There is as many words here as synthetic processes in your yummy chicken grease. If cockneys had invented rap it might have sounded like this! The bass and drums pile in, with a rumbling groove, spiked with jagged guitar, and piano word painting, as if industrial decay could sound like fun.

6) Our Very Last Dance    Maybe it’s sombre. But it's ok to mourn our losses, without reaching for empty rhetoric and hopeless hope. A dark soulful 3/4 bass groove with piano and lap steel orchestrations.

7) They’re coming to get you  The malevolence and destructive influence of the powerful is tangible and more discernible by the day as the story of "liberal democracy" fades away. Electronic bass sets the pace of the "machine" that devours all. The band colour this metronome with their tangental quirks and comments. This song has been repurposed from an earlier incarnation inspired by "new normalities" and "mass formations". "Together we rise. Divided we fall" MLK

8) Bill Gates    Lock him up! Wake up! Fast and short

9) Tins n Guns      On extreme prepping as neoliberal hypocricy goes down, taking as many of us as it can. Mid tempo, funky rock with Brian picking up the baton on guitar as Mark exits following a cool solo. Asymetrical piano weaves these melodies together as the drum n' bass rock on.

10)Flag waving man    Identity politics ain't just the terrain of the "woke". This cartoon patriot has been prepackaged and shrink wrapped for years. Poking fun at the puffed up flagging virtue signalling a state of insecurity. It's a catchy punky three chord word rant with jokes and puns. The guitar and piano refuse to play ball, offering hints of Chaz n' Dave having a breakdown. "It's Uber Allez down at Buckingham Palace!"

11) White Trash  Flag waving man part two? It’s just this thin skin. Rock anthem, with chanty chorus and extended big instrumental. Old school rock n' roll is a thing to love. The Azov’s, the go to nazi for the Guardianista,

12) Killing Trees  Despite Greta’s canonisation by the World Economic Forum. There is an ecological crisis, it's just being repackaged and sold back to us as junk food and abstract metrics. In the spring of 2019 Norfolk County Council sprayed off the road verges of the A11 and A47 from here to Norwich. All our homies were gutted and enraged. This song started there, aided by a gifted classical acoustic that the motif was discovered on. Another lament. The tender and fragile melody goes large, feedback howls as the song concludes, while the melody always holds it's own. “We’ve been drinking pop!”

Why the tin foil hat?

Mike Chrome asked me this question a while ago. Having imbibed 2 pints more than my usual dose, I spewed some bullshit and fluffed my lines, so I’ll try again.

It seems the tin foil hat is a signifier to some, a bridge across the loneliness many of us filthy unvaxxed feel. being on the end of a righteous liberal purge. Being on the wrong side of the “official narrative” and many of our dear friends. The spectre of censorship and self censorship stains our good relations. The hat is a joke. A deadly serious joke.  I’m wondering if for some it seems a threat!

The Hat! Tin foil. A paranoid schizophrenic cliche. For those who hold outlandish, exaggerated fears of persecution and threat. Fears of being mind controlled. And the delusional notion that a thin layer of tin foil will keep all that threat at bay.

The narrative, “The Science”TM and the mainstream seems to have voided itself of any discourse. “The facts are settled.” We are experiencing a mono narrative. It appears there is a concerted effort to influence what I think and what I understand as fact. Any questioning is an expression of at best “hesitancy”. If the official narrative is more aggressively interrogated or disputed, then you will surely be consigned to the silo marked “tin foil hat conspiracy theorist, anti vax super spreader ”. All those pejoratives rooted in a thoroughly scientific analysis.

So wearing a tin foil hat is a signal saying I do not subscribe to the official narrative. I do not subscribe to the officially correct responses to the crisis’s. And I’m really willing to talk about it for ages and ages. I’m not happy to be silenced or disallowed my right to dissent from “The (so called) Science” or the conventional wisdom.

The official narrative built on pillars of sand means any questioning and dissent has to be dismissed, silenced and banished to the margins. The coherence unravels, all that holds it together is repetition, slogans and censorship. The vest is so full of holes there isn’t a vest anymore, so sayeth Carol Hunter our piano player.

To listen to BBC radio 4 is to subject yourself to a psychological assault, the ludicrous and vapid mouthing’s of overpaid media slaves. BBC news delivers psychosis like soft furnishings and fitted carpets. We are being spoon fed vanilla flavoured shit. No wonder the culture is insane. This endless gas lighting and patronising leaves little wonder.

here’s a few questions…

Do PCR tests work?

What is Emergency Licensing for using untested drugs

Why are so many whistleblowing doctors (straight doctors not hippy doctors) Removed from You tube.

Why inject healthy people with experimental gene therapy

What’s wrong with natural immunity

How much did Pfizer make this year?

How much did they pay in fines last year?

Who’s got shares in them?

Who funds the organisation that authorises the emergency licensing of said vaccine/gene therapy?

Isn’t that a conflict of interest?

Why haven’t The Guardian or the BBC bought up such conflicts of interest through their “investigative journalism remit?

Who funds the Guardian and the BBC?

We know politicians are liars. We know most journalists are liars. We know most corporate bodies are criminal. We know the “system” is corrupt. Then why do we suck up these slogans. “safe and effective”. “No causal link” or “the benefits outweigh the risks”?

What else???????

I’ve not heard a satisfactory explanation so I’ll keep wearing my tin foil hat and keep on talking and listening.

Oh yes. So my take on the C19 caper flipped a fair while ago. So minds do change however deluded and wrongheaded that maybe. I take comfort in this evidence of flexibility…
